These prefixes are typically
followed by a number that
indicates bit size. For example: PH2
– (Phillips #2) A large Phillips bit.
PH0 – (Phillips #0) A medium Phillips
bit. PH000 – (Phillips #000) A small
Phillips bit.
The PH2 wood screws are ver
y similar to the PZ2 screws.
This is the same size category.
The differences appear in the
choice of a screwdriver.
A PZ (Pozidriv) screwdriver
will also be pre-fitted with
PH (Phillips) screws, but if
you use it, the screw will be
easily deformed.
Screwdrivers are a
type of hand tool used
for the insertion and removal
of screws. They are available in
a multitude of variations to
correspond to the correct
screw drive. The drive or
head of a screw has a
shaped cavity and protrusion
that fits the screwdriver tip.
Primary hyperoxaluria type
2 (PH2), caused by mutations
in the GRHPR gene, is an inherited
disease in which the lack of a
particular liver enzyme causes
the body to accumulate excess
amounts of a substance called
oxalate.
The tool used to drive a
slotted screw head is
called a standard, common blade,
flat-blade, slot-head, straight,
flat, flat-tip, or "flat-head"
screwdriver. This last usage
can be confusing, because
the term flat-head also describes
a screw with a flat top, designed
to install in a countersunk hole.
